ROOTED IN HISTORY, BUILT FOR COMMUNITY

Located at the center of Veterans Park in the heart of Beach Haven's Historic District, the new Pavilion will become the focal point for community life — a place to gather, socialize, celebrate, and take shelter. Designed to feel as if it has always been there, this is Beach Haven's pavilion, built for everyone who loves this special place. Organized by Friends of Beach Haven, designed by Handline Architects, and funded through private donations, with a significant gift pledged by a local donor expected to cover most of the construction costs. The Beach Haven Heritage Trail is a new self-guided walking experience that brings the town's extraordinary history to life through interpretive signage, maps, and a website— connecting residents, visitors, and future generations to the people and places that shaped our well-preserved Victorian shore community. This project will highlight Beach Haven’s rich past, educate residents and visitors, and strengthen Beach Haven’s identity as one of New Jersey’s most historic shore communities. We are also adding “Historic District” markers to street signs within our nationally and state-recognized Historic District. Beach Haven has been awarded a NJ Green Acres Grant (Jake’s Law) to build an All-Inclusive Playground designed for children of all abilities to play together. The existing playground equipment needs to be replaced because of its age.
The new playground would include:
– Increased shade
– Padded floor covering
– New equipment for children of all abilities

The new All-inclusive playground will open Summer 2026!

SAFETY FROM THE SKY

The Beach Haven Lifeguards and Police now have an added tool to excel - drone technology to assist first responders in their life saving efforts.

– Range of several miles
– Flotation device that inflates when dropped into the water
– Can detect rip currents and hazards in the water
– Equipped with infrared camera
– Speakers to communicate
– Operators will be trained and licensed
– Already deployed in other beach communities
